KINGSCLIFF ART CLASSES

  1. I’ve changed my mind. Can I get credit or a refund? If you’ve booked the full term (usually 5-10 classes) you’re welcome to a refund minus a $40 processing fee, if you contact us at least 7 days prior to your class/term starting (we get charged an ecommerce and admin processing fee every time we process an order so we can’t refund in full - sorry). This gives us time to give your spot to someone else.

If you’ve booked an individual class, 48 hours cancellation notice is required for a refund, minus a $5 booking fee.

Unfortunately we cannot credit classes across terms.

  2. What if I miss my class? If you can’t attend your class, you’re always welcome to send someone else along in your place (I have a spare watercolour set if they don’t have their own). Either way, class notes will be emailed to you with photos of the steps and detailed instructions, so you can create your artwork at home.

  3. Covid restrictions & lockdowns: If classes cannot run in-person due to government restrictions, natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances, classes will be run online via zoom. The zoom class may be scheduled for a different day and time than your usual class time that week, to accommodate our teachers working from home. Recordings will be kept for 7 days for those that cannot make the new class time. It is your responsibility to make sure you provide us with correct contact information (email address and phone number), so that we can notify you of any last-minute changes to your class location.

  4. Covid policy: By attending our classes you agree to abide by the current local government mandates and regulations, including mask-wearing, hand sanitising, vaccination status, checking-in using the covid-safe QR code and physical distancing. You agree to not attend classes if you show any signs of sickness.

  5. Cancelled classes: Artory reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolments or venue unavailability. If a class is cancelled, all student enrolled in that class will be refunded for that class.

  6. Intellectual property: Respecting and crediting artists for their work is extremely important at the Artory. During class, we study examples of other artists work. These studies are for personal use only and cannot be sold or reproduced without the original artist’s written permission. Contact your teacher for more information.

ONLINE ART CLASSES VIA ZOOM

  1. Will my class be recorded? Yes. But during the editing process, every effort is made to ensure that no students faces or voices are disclosed in the recording. However, at times (rarely) this may be missed during the editing process and some students voices and/or faces may remain in the video recording. If you are at all worried, you are welcome to keep your camera and audio off during the zoom class. Artory reserves the right to record, save and reuse the recording at a later date.

  2. What if I miss my class? Every class is recorded so that students can give the artwork a second go or do the artwork at a different time. The recording is available for 7 days from the class time. After that time the class will no longer be available. You will be emailed a password to access the class recording each week, once the class has been edited and uploaded.

  3. What if the class cannot run because the internet is down? If classes can't run live on zoom at the specified time due to an internet service provider fault out of Artory's control, a pre-recorded class will be made and uploaded for students during the same week that the class was due to be held.

  4. Cancelled classes: Artory reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolments. If a class is cancelled, all student enrolled in that class will be refunded.

  5. I changed my mind, can I refund my class? Please choose carefully as we do not refund/credit bookings if you change your mind. This helps us to keep our class prices affordable as it keeps our admin costs down. Each term, we commit to showing up and delivering an art class for you every week, whether that be in-person or online. In turn, when you book in for a term of art classes, you commit to attending and participating for each of those weeks.

  6. Can my family join the class with me? Yes, Artory zoom classes are priced per device (phone, tablet or computer). You can have other members of your household participating in the class on your device.
