WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR

DRAWING WITH COLOUR CLASS

Our venue, The Artist’s Apothecary generally has all of these materials available to purchase before/after class.

  • A4 drawing book of 300gsm Hot Pressed watercolour paper (Laura recommends Fabriano or Arches brands or Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper).

  • a HB and 6B pencil

  • coloured pencils (Laura recommends a set of at least 24 colours from Prismacolor or Polychromos. Lower-quality pencils can be frustrating to work with — they don’t blend, layer, or hold colour as well, and will make it harder for you to learn the techniques.)

  • a 30cm ruler,

  • an eraser and sharpener
