GOUACHE PAINTING
Thursdays 9:30-11:30am with Anne Smerdon
at The Artists Apothecary, Murwillumbah
NEXT DATES:
Thursday 24 & 31 July (2 week taster course, all materials provided)
ABOUT:
If watercolour and oil paint had a baby, it would be gouache. Don’t let its funny name fool you, this medium is brilliant! It’s perfect for beginners and so handy for Plein air painting (outdoor painting) and travel sketching.
Gouache has the fluidness of watercolour but, unlike watercolour, it has the ability to layer light colours over dark colours (just like oil or acrylic paint).

If you booked the full course, you've received a discount and I've reserved that seat in class for you for the whole term. This means I can't refund or credit you if you miss a class BUT you are welcome to send someone along in your place. It’s a great way to treat someone with a surprise gift.
Class notes will also be emailed to you with photos of each of the steps and detailed instructions, so you can create your artwork at home.
If you’ve booked an individual class, 48 hours cancellation notice is required for a refund minus a $5 processing fee (sorry our ecommerce platform charges us every time we process a booking)
-
Your health and safety is of utmost importance. We follow all NSW government advice and guidelines.
By attending our classes you agree to not attend classes if you show any signs of sickness.
If Anne is sick, class will be rescheduled/cancelled with refunds offered (or another teacher will fill in for Anne).

If classes cannot run in-person due to government restrictions or lockdowns, classes will be run online via zoom. The zoom class may be scheduled for a different day and time than your usual class time that week, to accommodate our teachers working from home. Recordings will be kept for 7 days for those that cannot make the new class time.

This gives us time to give your spot to someone else.
